Now at Can someone help me figure out this problem? This thread is locked. Cancel Submit. Hi Can you please try carrying out a console restart by pressing and holding the power button on the front of the for 10 seconds and once the console starts try completing the installation again. How satisfied are you with this reply? Thanks for your feedback, it helps us improve the site.

Hold the power button on the console for 8 seconds or until the power shuts down completely. Unplug the power cord from the back of the console for 5 minutes. Everything else works well. For me I turned off my antivirus and my firewall and it worked, however, i would recommend turning firewall back on after starting as it being off makes you vulnerable and turning it back on after startup does not affect the game.

My game crashed with an error as soon as the launch screen loaded also. I added an exception to my Avast Security and it now loads and plays fine. Hi there i made an exception in my antivirus software for the game and it works fine now as well. No need to disable firewall. So i tried what some suggested and disabled my Firewall during the game launch, and it worked.

Everything else failed. If you have a integrated graphics card and a Nvidia card, just go to Nvidia control panel and uncheck the auto selection from everywhere. Manually force your computer to use the Nvidia card all the time. It worked for me. Not auto select or integrated. Can anyone help? Same thing here, new game nothing works……. Did reboot, did get media file…. I did not sign up to become a software developper. I updated my windows and disabled my anti-virus and it worked.

Dont knwo which one solved the issue. Anyone else getting it where the game is to big for the screen. Im only see a part of it, and cant get to the menu items or anything else as its all cut off, Alt Enter doesnt do anything and I cant see any of the menus.

This after the computer being shut off, turned back on, and trying to start Red Dead from the Rockstar launcher. Tried most of the above to no avail. The problem ended up being Bitdefender anti-virus. Turned that off and was able to load in just fine. I get the Rockstar launcher exited unexpectedly. I have updated my drivers and killed off everything I can find.

Strange, my problem is the launcher itself crashing after hitting PLAY. Yeah same here, what a great launch Rockstar! Also crashing right after seeing the shotgun shells. For me it was anti virus. I use Avast but any anti virus may be stopping it. This is technically method 7. I already added an exception, but only disabling worked. Right click Avast icon from the system tray lower right of your Windows taskbar 2. Find the folder where RDR2 is installed and tick the small box next to it to add that entire folder as an exception to any Avast scans or shields 6.

I added the actual RDR2. This worked for me, after also making sure drivers are updated, and game file intergrity was good. Same here, the two bullets appear and insta crash. Exact same crash here. Trying other things now. For me it was the Anti Virus! Game List Contact More. Click on the Verify Integrity button. It will scan the Red Dead Redemption 2 files to verify the integrity attempt to download and replace ant missing or corrupt files. If your game on the Epic Games launcher, open up the Epic Games launcher.

Method 2 Go to the folder where the Red Dead Redemption 2 is installed. Go to the Redistributables folder and open the DirectX folder. Go to the Redistributables folder and open the VCRed folder. If already installed, repair it. Then, go to the Redistributables folder. Run and install the VulkanRT Reboot your computer. Now, while downloading the game its always getting stuck after downloading GB max. I have no Antivirus problem or firewall issue. My net speed in enough and constant.

I have to exit the Launcher and launch it again every time to resume the download which is going to be a big task for GB download!!! Is there any work around available? Showing 1 - 3 of 3 comments.
